The most common symptom of tinnitus is ringing in your ears. At a minimum this is annoying, and can make it hard to hear everyday sounds. Severe tinnitus can be loud enough to keep you from sleeping, and can cause dizziness and nausea.

In some cases, tinnitus symptoms can be caused or exacerbated by allergies and congestion in your nasal passages. More often, the symptoms are an indication of developing hearing loss.
